Review – Straight Tracks from LGB, PIKO, Thiel & Train Line 45
LGB’s track has been the go-to option for basically forever due to good availability and proven quality. However, LGB faces competition, namely from PIKO and Train Line 45 both of which entered the G scale game during the LGB insolvency era (~2006). A slightly niche competitor is Thiel. Founded in the 1980s, the brand is today produced and distributed by Ralf Kesselbauer.
I’ve purchased the 60 cm (~ 2 ft) straight tracks from each brand for a comparison. I would have loved to include USA Trains track, but it’s hard to get in Europe.

RhB EW III “Bernina Express” Cars from Train Line 45?
SPUR G NEWS teases some pictures of an upcoming announcement from Train Line 45. Looking at the pictures, it can only mean TL45 is working on the RhB “Einheitswagen III” in the distinctive red and dark grey livery.
