This is not a page that will change the world, but it could be a handy reference for someone (either during reassembly, or even kit bashing). So, in general, PIKO sticks to a standardized set of screws to assemble all their motive power, rolling stock and accessories. The screws they use come in two different widths, and then some different lengths.

Screw Sizes

• A = 2,2 x 7
• B = 2,2 x 10
• C = 3,0 x 10
• D = 3,0 x 14
• E = 3,0 x 6

Usage

• A = commonly used for smaller body and chassis parts, coupler, skates, PCBs
• B = like A, but where extra length is required
• C = commonly used for large body and chassis parts, motor block
• D = like C, but where extra length is required
• E = don’t know 🙂

Availability

PIKO G 36090 Screws, 20 pcs, “3 sizes”

PIKO’s offering is a weird one, it mentions “3 sizes”, yet the image shows 5. So, I think the description is wrong, as the “20 pcs” does match the amount of screws shown in the picture.
